First level maintenance of automotive die-casting molds
The first level of maintenance of the mold refers to the daily maintenance of the mold by the operator in production, which mainly includes cleaning, lubrication, and inspection.

1. Maintenance when installing the mold
Before assembling the mold, the upper and lower surfaces of the mold should be cleaned to ensure that the mounting surface of the mold and the working surface of the press will not be crushed and the parallelism of the upper and lower mounting surfaces of the mold in production.
After the mold is installed, open the mold and clean all parts of the mold, especially the guiding mechanism, and the surface parts mold, clean the surface to ensure the quality of the parts. Lubricate each sliding part of the mold and apply grease. Check all parts of the mold, especially the safety parts. Such as safety side pins, safety screws, side shields, punching waste channels, etc.

2. The maintenance of production
Regularly grease the corresponding parts of the mold during production. Such as the compression ring of the drawing dies, rounded corners: the knife mouth part of the trimming die: the flanging knife block part, etc.
Regularly clean up the small hole waste channel of the trimming punching die.

3. After the production of maintenance
After production, the die should be checked thoroughly.
Clean the mold to ensure the cleanliness of the mold.
Clean up the scrap inside the die and make sure there is no scrap in the scrap box.
Feed back the status of the mold and the condition after use of the mold summons truthfully.
 

Secondary maintenance of automotive die-casting molds
The secondary maintenance of the mold refers to the regular and systematic maintenance of the mold according to the technical status and complexity of the mold. This maintenance work is done by the mold repairer and is recorded according to the maintenance situation. The following describes the requirements and methods of the second maintenance for different parts.

Convex and concave die of drawing die: The main problems of convex and concave die of drawing die are hair pulling and cratering on the surface, so the main maintenance is to polish the rounded and hair pulling parts of the die. If there is a crater, we have to weld the mold and then repair it.

Guide parts (guide pillar, guide sleeve, guide plate, etc.): mold in the work will appear with pull marks and other phenomena. The main reasons are dirty lubricant and guide gap deviation, etc. This causes the parts to produce pull marks to take the oil stone to push smooth after the polishing method to eliminate.

Trim knife edge: die in the use of the process of knife edge part of the easy-to-collapse edge and edge collapse phenomenon. At this time mold damage to the knife mouth for welding repair.

Spring and other bullet parts in the process of use, the tube is one of the most easily damaged parts of the mold, usually new cracks and deformation phenomenon, the approach is to replace, but the replacement process must pay attention to the specifications and model of the spring, the spring specification model through the color, outside diameter and length of three to determine, only in the case of these three are the same can be replaced.

Punch and sleeve: Most of the punches and sleeves used on the die are standard parts, and the dies are prone to break, bend and gnaw during use. Punch bushings are generally gnawed.

Punch and sleeve damage is usually replaced with the same specification parts. The parameters of the punch are mainly working part size, mounting part size, length size, etc.

Fastening parts: To check whether the fastening parts are loose or damaged, the approach is to find parts of the same specifications for replacement.

Pressing and unloading parts: pressing parts such as pressing plate, Ulli rubber, etc., unloading parts such as unloading plate, pneumatic top material device, etc. Maintenance checks the assembly relationship of each part and whether there is damage, repairs the damaged parts, pneumatic information checks whether there is air leakage, and takes measures for the specific situation, such as bad air pipe wipe for replacement, etc.
